Disposable Diaper Database

The Diaper Database is graphics intensive so give it some time to fully load (just like a diaper!) If there's nothing written about the diaper, it's because I haven't heard enough feedback about it to list anything with any degree of confidence. Feel free to write me with your own feedback around any of these products or to suggest a brand not featured here (please send as much information, links, etc as possible). Also when using this database keep in mind that some places that sell diapers online don't label their product accurately, for instance I have seen Kendall wings just listed as 'wings'. They will often just use part of the diaper's name or description (one of the reasons I added pics here).  So first thing to determine, when you're listening to someone else rate a diaper, or shopping for a diaper, is to try and get clear on exactly which diaper it is.  Some brands make a variety of similar diapers with slight or major differences between them, and often diaper companies will change their diaper (improvements?) - so figure out whether your are talking about/buying a classic design, or a newly altered product. When adding your own review vote, please only vote for products you've used and know well.

Abena Abri-Form

Color of the Abena Abri-form X plus depends on the size ordered - most sizes are in white.  This diaper is very thick and has refasten-able tapes. Really absorbent, only complaints I have heard are around the waist fit - not elastic, and the tapes don't work great after a couple of re-fastenings. Pluses - holds a lot, and some people feel they are very close to a baby diaper in style.

Abena Abri-Wings

This diaper has a unique design, the side panels are large wings that wrap around the wearers waist.  The middle is then brought up between the legs and fastened to the wings with velcro.  The design makes them very easy to put them on and take them off, the absorbent area is plastic covered, and the wing area is breathable materials. White with no external markings at all, quiet with a little 'crinkle'.  The velcro holds very well.

Attends

Good diapers for heavy wetting, it's a relatively discreet diaper, in that it's fairly quiet, holds odors well, and is not super bulky, but has enough bulk to let you know you are wearing a diaper.  A lot of people like the smell of this diaper, saying that it smells like a diaper should.  The other comment I've heard is that the exterior softness of the plastic is really pleasant. Comes in normal and super plus, with perma dry (first two), and the 6 tape with waist band (last pic).
Uses special dry core plus technology for improved skin protection, reduced leakage and better quality care, for heavier degrees of incontinence. Confidence premium care briefs is another diaper made by attends (sometimes you'll see it listed just as Confidence).

Depends

Depends makes a number of diapers: Fitted Briefs, overnight briefs, protective underwear and belted undergarments. The fitted briefs and overnights have elastic waist and 3 tapes on each side. Protective underwear are a pull-on style.  The fitted briefs and overnights are a -noisy- diaper, which may or may not be a plus to you.  Another feature they have are leg guards, which prevent mess from coming out.  They also hold a lot. The protective underwear are a lot quieter, but some people feel they don't hold as much. The belted undergarment is not really a diaper, but an absorbent pad with two detachable belts.

Dignity Plus

This diaper is absorbent for heavy protection. It Features re-fasten-able tape tabs, wetness indicator, and soft elastic gathers for good fit. "Gel" to lock away moisture, reduce odors. For heavy protection. I haven't heard much about it, other than the 'spiel' I just gave - which is from the manufacturers, so who knows whether it really lives up to the ad claims or not, if you have feedback/experience with this diaper, write and let me know.

First Quality Line

The first picture is of the first quality per-fit, the second pic is their prevail IBF diaper, and the third pic is their nighttime breathable.  Feedback on these diapers is that they are on the loud size, lots of crinkle, and very much like a baby diaper.  Depending on the size/type will come in blue or white.

Goodnight's Extra Large - Are a child's diaper, but are advertised to fit up to 125lbs, small adults usually can wear them with no problem. They don't look particularly babyish, and I've heard mixed reviews on how much they will hold. They are a pull-up diaper that bulk quiet a bit when wet.

Kendall Wings

The Kendall wings diapers come in classic, with tape tabs, and wings HL - with velcro tabs.  Velcro definitely is a plus in terms of holding well.  Blue or white, depending on size ( I believe medium is white, and all other sizes blue). They are a very soft diaper.

MediPrimes EuroBrief - For pictures see manufacturer's page by clicking here. These diapers are the same as the german ID-slip brand remarketed for outside Europe as the eurobrief. Very soft, very thick, and hold a lot. Really good in terms of holding capacity, and for not leaking.

Medline

Makes a protection plus classic, and a protection plus ultra (heavier protection), both blue in color. Similar to attends with waistband. It's one of those 'discount' brands.  Has good leg gathers.  Otherwise dont' know much about it.

Molicare

Molicare makes Classic Plus (1st photo, also known as classic briefs), Protection Plus (2nd photo), Super extend capacity/overnight (3rd photo, also known as super t-shaped) and Super Plus (not shown, purple).  I have heard that these diapers are on the very quiet side, and good if discretion is a consideration. Also that they are very absorbent, and hold a lot.  The downside seems consistently to be the tape, which has got to be one of the worst tapes on diapers.  If you like these diapers other than the tape issue, I would buy white vinyl medical tape to use with them.

Tena

Tena makes Ultra briefs (white), Super Briefs (green, and the most absorbent of the three), and Dry Comfort Extra Briefs (lighter and the least absorbent of the three). They used to have a plastic like outside, but have changed them, and the outside is now more cloth-like than plastic like. A quiet and discreet diaper with good holding capacity and most people find they don't leak and that they are very well fitted.

Tranquility

Makes ATN, slim line, and makes the largest size diaper now in a xxlarge (2nd pic).  White diapers, very crinkly when you walk, a noisy 'baby-like' diaper.  They have leg guards, but no waist band. Have good holding power. Have heard mixed reviews about the tapes.

Walgreens

No picture available. I've heard mixed reviews, soft plastic exterior, with a fair bit of crinkle/rustle noise to them. People seem to feel they are good price wise, but a consumer review report I've read stated otherwise, that the price was not that good if you took into consideration their holding power, which is less than some other brands.
